This scrumptious Crumbly Apple, Nut, and Cheese Cake may be eaten warm or cold as a dessert with ice cream or cream or as a hearty cake.

The apples and nuts add a chunky texture to the cake, whist the fruits and cheese add moisture.

Baked until golden brown and just firm, I will never grow tired of eating this comforting cake. Crumbly Apple, Nut, and Cheese Cake can be served as both a dessert and a cake.

❤️ Crumbly Apple, Nut, and Cheese Cake

✔️ Preparation: 15-20 minutes
Cooking: 50-60 minutes
Yield: 12 servings
Level: Easy

📝 Ingredients:
170g (6oz) All Purpose Flour
2 tsp Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
¼ tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
75g (3oz) Sugar
50g (2oz) Raisons
50g (2oz) Sultanas
50g (2oz) Chopped Brazil nuts
575g (1¼lbs) Dessert Apples Peeled, cored and sliced
2 eggs
90ml Sunflower oil
300g (11oz) Cottage Cheese
Icing sugar

🟢 Directions:
Step#01
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to a moderate heat 180°C (350°F) Gas 4
Grease a 23 cm (9 inch) diameter, 5 cm (2 inch) deep round flan tin/plate

Step#2
DRY INGREDIENTS
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, pinch of salt, and bicarbonate of soda.
Add in the sugar, raisins, sultanas, nuts, and apples.

Step#3
WET INGREDIENTS
In a separate mixing bowl, beat together the eggs and oil,

Step#4
ADD THE WET INGREDIENTS TO THE DRY INGREDIENTS
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and thoroughly combine. Then add the cottage cheese and fold it into the mix.

Step#4
BAKE
Turn mixture into flan tin/plate bake at 180°C (350°F) Gas 4 for 50 minutes – 1 hour, until golden brown and just firm

Step#5
Allow the cake to cool before sprinkling it with icing sugar.

Serving Suggestions
Serve with a little heavy/double cream or ice cream and enjoy!
