Best Vegan Mac & Cheese Recipe | Easy, Cheap, NUT FREE and can be made GLUTEN FREE!

Today I’m sharing with you all my favorite vegan Mac and cheese recipe. This recipe requires NO CASHEWS unlike most recipes, so it is completely nut free! Also, this recipe can EASILY be made GLUTEN FREE if you use gluten free pasta and a gluten free flour, such as oat flour. There’s also no potatoes, carrots, or anything odd required that you may not already have in your pantry. All of the ingredients are very simple and cheap! Vegan Cheese Sauce Recipe:

1/4 cup of starch (any type of flour) + 1/4 cup of fat (vegan butter or oil)
3 cups of cold liquid (water, plant based milk, or vegetable broth)
1/2 cup of nutritional yeast
2 tbsp of tomato paste (optional, but recommended)
2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 tsp of onion powder
1 tbsp of lemon juice

You can adjust the seasoning ratios to your liking.
